what is a better heating source wood stove or oil furnace?
I have both.I heat mostly with wood and love the heat it puts out. Good ol wood heat will heat you to the bones. Another good thing is if the power goes out...I still have heat and can cook too. I burn oil only when it's super cold..to help the woodstove keep the temp up and early morning..I want my coffee before I do anything...LOL.Yes it's a lot of work useing a woodstove...but a heck of a lot cheaper.Wood stove, if you have the time, energy and steady supply of wood to keep the stove burning. The wood doesn't go into the stove as easily as the oil truck delivers the oil!!!!! by hoboson
wood stove is cheaper and will warm the house up like toast but you have to be willing to watch the fire all the time 430 in the mornining can't let it go out you will get cold dom't let it go out oil is more exspensive but is always there to keep you warm just crank it up it would be nibe if you could get both if you could only grt one and your a man i would get the wood the money you would be saving burning wood good luck in whatever you choose. by donna d
I prefer a multi-fuel model, that allows you to burn wood and coal. by Dune
