Wood burning fireplace blower?
you must already have the fireplace INSERT that comes with a blower and it's not working now?.... so find the name of the insert and call that company for a replacement blower.... if you don't have an insert, you can't use a blower.... you have to have that 'dead air space' that the fire heats up the air in, or there's nothing for the blower to blow.... can't use it just with a fire in a fireplace....http://www.thepoolandspawarehouse.com/html/heat_recovery_system.html This is just one that I pulled off a search engine. My bro-in-law had on on a Franklin stove that was made in Wisconsin for many years that thermostatically activated, would blow air through a heat exchanger that was mounted in the flue pipe heating a room many times more than what was normal. This site has a setup for fireplaces. There is fireplace inserts that will actually draw air from the bottom and circulate it around the isolated fireplace insert creating a heat exchanger itself. The Brand name 'Majestic' is one a girl, friend had. They're out there. Just have to hunt using words like 'heat' and 'recovery' along with fireplace or wood burning stove. by jacktradewheaton
It would help if you knew the brand . I assume you are replacing one you already have, or putting one in a unit that was made for a fan. Not all fireplaces will accommodate a fan. They must be designed for one. by Dr. Strangelove
